About The Wrong Way Back The Wrong Way Back follows a route starting in Wincanton, Somerset and heading north to Porlock, where the route then heads down the north coast to Lands End. From Lands End the route heads back along the south coast to Weymouth, Dorset. The final day is a ride up to Portland Bill before heading back inland to Wincanton. The route takes the riders 8 days to complete and they will climb in excess of 49,000ft of beautiful Dorset, Devon and Cornish Coastlines, a few gert big hills in Somerset. It is a physically and mentally tough challenge, however, riders who have taken part in past events have returned to take part again.
Are you ready to experience the best family cycling festival in the UK? We’ve got over 50 bike races and challenges for all ages and abilities, 3 incredible nights of live music and a beer festival. That’s right. Go on…pinch yourself. The entire family will have an awesome time. Look at the pictures, watch the video then book your tickets and we’ll see you in August. The Big Bike Bash is organised and run entirely by unpaid volunteers solely to raise funds for UK Youth / Avon Tyrrell. Following the 2018 event UK Youth / Avon Tyrrell will receive over £20,000 which brings the total in the eleven years of the Big Bike Bash to over £140,000. Most notably in 2018 we paid for and sourced over 30 replacement bikes for use by people visiting the centre. Although our costs continue to edge upwards we are holding the same ticket prices for this year and look forward with your help to making another healthy contribution to this outstanding charity for young people.
